CompuServe software bundled on new IBM Aptiva line

COLUMBUS, Ohio, Sept. 14, 1995 -- IBM's newest series of Aptiva personal
computers for the home is ready, willing and able to connect first-time
users to the CompuServe Information Service. Established members can
access their CompuServe accounts immediately with the Aptiva as well,
thanks to the CompuServe Information Manager (CIM) software for Windows or
OS/2 pre-installed on each machine.

The Aptiva also features the Journalist software, which automatically
searches the many news sources on CompuServe for topics of interest. The
member is then presented with a concise newspaper-style document custom
tailored to his or her particular needs and interests.

CompuServe makes available extensive technical support and assistance for
Aptiva users through its IBM product support forums (GO IBM). Here, users
can download enhancements and product information, ask questions of IBM
technical support representatives and share information with fellow users
around the world.

In addition to the Aptiva series, CIM software is bundled on personal
computers from Gateway 2000, Compaq, Packard Bell, AST, NEC, Acer, Epson,
Digital Equipment and others.
