STONEKEEP STREET DATE ANNOUNCED!

(INTERPLAY SETS NOVEMBER 8TH AS STREET DATE FOR MEGA-MULTIMEDIA TITLE)

September 6, 1995 -- Irvine, California -- After five calendar years and 30
man-years of continuous development, five trade show premieres, three
compiler changes, and a pentupling of the average end-user's computing
power, the international game corporation Interplay Productions announced
this week that the near-mythical role-playing game Stonekeep will hit the
streets on November 8, 1995.

The announcement capped five fervent years of "wrapping up" in the
departments of programming, game design, video digitizing, 3D rendering,
acting, playtesting, re-playtesting, and ritual sacrifice. "I must admit,
I am brimming with satisfaction. One must take pride in one's life-work,
after all," said Michael Quarles, age 31, producer of the project.
"Certainly we have created a ground-breaking game which is the most
compelling role-playing adventure ever."

Brian Fargo, CEO of Interplay Productions, announced the street date over
the company's telephone intercom system wearing a specially- tailored
Shadow King costume that was created for the game. Stonekeep development
team members immediately burst with joy, hollering through the halls and
bowing and scraping to a hooded programmer known only as El Conejo.

"We have thrown every creative ounce of who we are as gamers and artists
into creating this personal and crowning achievement." said Quarles. "I
have no doubt that Stonekeep will go down in the annals of history as one
of the greatest games of all time."

Interplay has released three back-to-back top-10 titles this year: Descent,
Virtual Pool and Dungeon Master II: The Legend of Skullkeep. The
developer/publisher intends to add Frankenstein: Through The Eyes Of The
Monster and Stonekeep to the stream of products this fourth quarter.
