Novell's First Class Resounding Success

All Seats Filled at Participating NAECs; Students Clamor for More

OREM, Utah--September 6, 1995--Novell's NetWare 4.1: First Class, a one-day
hands-on primer designed to acquaint Local Area Network (LAN)
administrators and Information Services (IS) managers with NetWare 4.1,
kicks off September 11, 1995 with more than 12,000 students across the
United States. Designed to encourage NetWare 4.1 upgrades through a
high-level understanding of the product, First Class has already exceeded
initial expectations.

"We've had overwhelming response for First Class. That response is the
direct result of interest in NetWare 4.1 and the need that student
customers have for understanding that product," said Jerry S. Christensen,
Director of Business Development at Novell Education. "Seats at
participating Novell Authorized Education Centers (NAECs) are already
full, and the waiting lists for seats grows every day."

Novell continues to work with NAECs to open more classrooms to fill the
demand for First Class. NAECs may continue to offer the one-day course
through October 31, 1995. First Class launches in conjunction with
Novell's NetWare 4.1 upgrade promotion, which provides a 20% discount on
upgrades to NetWare 4.1 through October 31, 1995.

First Class, taught by Certified Novell Instructors (CNIs), exposes network
administrators and service providers to the ease of NetWare 4.1 migration,
installation, and administration. As a special introductory course, First
Class will not count toward certification or curriculum testing. Network
administrators and service providers do not have to be certified to attend
First Class, but should be experienced with NetWare 3 or NetWare 2. Those
interested in attending First Class should call (800) 883-2271 or (612)
831-2429. Network administrators and other networking service providers
attending First Class will receive a hands-on introduction to installing,
administering, and managing a NetWare 4.1 network. Cost for attending
NetWare 4.1: First Class is US$49.
