Nu-Mega Technologies, Inc. Announces BoundsChecker Professional Edition

---------------------------------------------------------------------
Nu-Mega's BoundsChecker Professional Edition offers the most thorough and
complete error detection available for the Windows C++ developer.
Integration with Microsoft Visual C++ and the newly introduced
Compile-time Instrumentation yields unprecedented quality improvements
early in the development cycle, resulting in an indispensable addition to
the developers tool box. Detects up to 72 unique categories of Windows
programming errors. Versions available for Windows 95 and Windows NT.
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Nashua, NH (September 12, 1995)--Nu-Mega Technologies, Inc., the leader in
Windows automatic error detection, today announced BoundsChecker
Professional Edition - the next generation product in its award winning
family of automatic error detection tools for Windows 95 and Windows NT.

According to Jim Moskun, Chairman of Nu-Mega: "In designing BoundsChecker
Professional Edition, our goal was to make powerful error detection an
integral part of the coding process for the Windows C++ developer. The
ability to 'check early, check often' will accelerate error detection and
make it faster and easier to isolate and fix programming errors."

Through a new level of integration, developers can detect programming
errors without leaving the Visual C++ environment. BoundsChecker
Professional Edition now incorporates the industry's most advanced error
detection technology - Compile-time Instrumentation enabling developers to
find three to four times as many errors as before. This technology was
provided to Nu-Mega via a relationship with ParaSoft Corporation of
Monrovia, California.

The Power Of Compile-time Instrumentation (CTI)

"With Compile-time Instrumentation, BoundsChecker Professional Edition can
reach into unexplored depths in search of programming errors related to
Windows 95 and Windows NT" stated Frank Grossman, President of Nu-Mega.
"These errors are typically the most difficult to find and most expensive
to fix. Increasing visibility into the Windows environment brings error
detection to a whole new level."

Compile-time Instrumentation, or CTI, is a new technology available in
BoundsChecker Professional Edition. It enables the user to detect up to 72
unique categories of Windows programming errors.

"Nu-Mega, along with our technology partner ParaSoft, is bringing to the
Windows industry a technology that is capable of understanding C++ and the
context and use of every pointer within your program. By instrumenting
your code, BoundsChecker Professional Edition automatically inserts error
checking code that detects these errors that would otherwise have gone
unnoticed by conventional debuggers and compilers" explained Frank
Grossman.

Improving the error detection process

BoundsChecker Professional Edition streamlines the error detection process
with a host of new features including a new user interface, support for
team-based development, error suppression, and multiple levels of error
detection.

Among the errors that BoundsChecker Professional Edition can detect are
invalid Windows API calls, invalid pointer manipulation, coding errors not
found by Visual C++, invalid reads and writes to memory, memory and
resource leaks, and more. BoundsChecker Professional Edition also analyzes
Windows Events and Win32 Compliance.
