O'REILLY'S ONLINE RESEARCH GROUP TO ANNOUNCE INTERNET SURVEY RESULTS

Just how big is the Internet? What kinds of people are using it? To answer
these questions, The Online Research Group (a subsidiary of O'Reilly &
Associates) has completed "Defining the Internet Opportunity 1994-1995,"
the first statistically defensible survey of Internet users. A detailed
report on the survey scope and methodology is available at
http://www.ora.com/survey/.

Women comprise 34% of Internet users--a significantly higher percentage
than previous estimates had projected. That was one of the surprising
numbers gleaned from our preliminary survey results, released in July. Our
final results contain even more intriguing information on the people who
use the Net.

We will be announcing the final survey results at 6:00 p.m. on September 27
in a press conference in San Francisco, held in conjunction with Seybold
San Francisco.
