PACIFIC INTERNET TO INCLUDE CALDERA NETWORK DESKTOP WITH ITS LOW-COST WORLD
WIDE WEB SERVER FAMILY

FIRST OEM SYSTEMS AGREEMENT FOR CALDERA'S LINUX-BASED OS ENVIRONMENT

CULVER CITY, Calif. -- Pacific Internet, a leading developer of Internet
computer systems, has reached an agreement to include the Caldera Network
Desktop -- an enhanced commercial version of the open architecture Linux
operating system -- in its family of low-cost, Intel Pentium-driven,
turnkey Internet server solutions.

The Caldera Network Desktop, from Caldera, Inc., (Orem, Utah) -- which
offers a cross-platform, 32-bit, UNIX-like application and development
environment with built-in network connectivity and programming interfaces
at an inexpensive price -- has now become standard on Pacific Internet's
plug-and-play WorldWideWeb-server systems.

In announcing this, the first OEM systems agreement for Caldera's flagship
product, Pacific Internet stressed the importance of uniting its
plug-and-play Internet systems solutions with the Internet access
capabilities of the new Linux environment.

"We are tremendously excited about our new Caldera partnership," said
Pacific Internet Founder Garry S. Hipsher. "After vigorously testing all
available X86-based UNIX operating systems, we found the Caldera Network
Desktop to be the fastest and most robust for use as the foundation of our
Web-server and Internet service provider systems," Hipsher explained.

"Caldera is pleased to be providing complete hardware and software Internet
solutions through our first OEM partner, Pacific Internet," said Ransom H.
Love, Caldera's vice president of marketing and sales. "This relationship
will allow customers to easily implement a single integrated solution to
immediately become full participants in the World Wide Web."

The Caldera Network Desktop comprises several key technologies, including:
a cross-platform, enhanced Linux kernel; built-in networking for Internet
and other IP networks; a full-featured Novell NetWare client; and, a
commercial-grade back-up application.

Pacific Internet's turnkey Web-server solutions represent the first
low-cost PC-based Internet-specific computer systems designed for
budget-conscious organizations interested in installing and managing
in-house servers that allow them to immediately configure a complete
on-line, corporate-wide communications server or establish a site on the
Internet's WorldWideWeb (WWW). Each system includes all necessary hardware
and software to establish multiple domain names and set up one or more Web
Sites or home pages that can be accessed by millions of Internet users
world-wide.

The first model of Pacific Internet's turnkey Web-server family was
introduced this past spring under the product name Web-in-a-Box and is now
shipping.

The Caldera Network Desktop is now being installed on Pacific Internet's
turnkey solutions in addition to the full-spectrum of leading Internet
software utilities -- including TCP/IP, E-Mail, FTP, Gopher and news
services. In addition, the systems include a user-friendly graphical user
interface (GUI) and Web statistics software that regularly tallies and
logs the number of "hits"-- or Web Site accesses -- an organization's home
page is delivering.

Fully-configured, and running under the Caldera Network Desktop
environment, Pacific Internet's Web servers can easily handle up to
250,000 hits per day and 5000 hits per minute, allowing users to
effectively "broadcast" information via the Internet.

System configuration for current models in the growing Pacific Internet
family of Webservers includes a 90 Mhz Pentium central processing unit
(CPU), as well as a variety of RAM, hard disk memory and add-on options.

As an added benefit for users, Pacific Internet provides T1 and 56 Kbps
high-speed Internet connections -- considered essential to users expecting
heavy-volume traffic over the Internet's Web. To facilitate the use of
these high-speed Internet connections, users can opt to have T1 and 56
Kbps wide-area-network (WAN) routers built into any Pacific Internet
Webserver system, completely eliminating the need for external
peripherals.

Pacific Internet's Web-server solutions are priced beginning at less than
$5,000 and are available exclusively from Pacific Internet.
