Snow Report Writers Storm Windows

Clearwater, FL September 1, 1995 - Snow Software in Florida announced the
release of their new Windows Report Writer, a 2nd generation Windows
product.

"While first generation products were about sizzle, second generation
products are all about the steak" Scott Snow remarked, drawing the
distinction between flashy-looking Windows report writers with a weak
engine and the easy-to-use, solid, robust and powerful Snow Report Writer
for Windows.

The Snow Report Writer for Windows uses the common word processor metaphor,
rather than forcing users through dialog after dialog (or worse, into a
programming language) to design, format and place data in reports. In
fact, users have commented, "If you can use a word processor, you can use
the Snow Report Writer Snow is as easy to use as a word processor."

But Snow's Windows Report Writer incorporates second-generation report
writing features unique to the Snow product. The Snow engine provides
report writing capability that picks up where others leave off. You can
design reports that aren't possible in Crystal, ReportSmith, Impromptu,
R&R, and others And performance is much faster as well.

For example, you can run an entire report to a window (instead of a few
pages at a time), then scroll back and forth and/or print it. Also, you
don't have to concern yourself with the underlying data access language
such as SQL. You just tell Snow WHAT you want your report to look like and
it figures out what data is needed, how to get it, format it and output
it.

Snow has been developing Graphical User Interface (GUI) report writing
products since 1990, starting with the Macintosh. This new release truly
is a second-generation GUI product available now for Windows as well, now
that Windows is catching up to the Macintosh.

Snow Report Writer supports all popular SQL data bases for large
corporations as well as data files common in small businesses, such as
accounting packages, Btrieve, Cobol, xBase, Paradox, etc. The Windows
version is part of Snow's cross-platform family of client-server report
writing solutions available for over eleven years on Macintosh, Windows,
OS/2, DOS, LAN, Unix, AIX and VAX.
