SPYGLASS ENTERS EUROPEAN MARKET; LICENSES ENHANCED MOSAIC TO SIEMENS

SIEMENS NIXDORF TO INCLUDE CLIENT TECHNOLOGY IN SINIX/WINDOWS

Naperville, Ill. -- Wednesday, August 30, 1995 -- Spyglass Inc. (NASDAQ:
SPYG) announced today a licensing agreement that allows leading European
information technology supplier Siemens Nixdorf Informationssysteme AG
Paderborn, Germany to include Enhanced Mosaic technology in its products.
Terms of the agreement were not disclosed, but Spyglass executives cite
the new relationship as a big first step in tapping the European market
for its World-Wide Web technology and for Siemens Nixdorf to establish
itself as a leading supplier of Web-enabling applications in Europe.

According to Siemens Nixdorf executives, Enhanced Mosaic technology will be
integrated into the solutions provider's product SINIX/Windows, which is
scheduled to ship in the coming weeks. SINIX/Windows is an integrated
graphical user environment for SINIX systems from Siemens Nixdorf which
are based on Unix System V.R4. Based on industry standards, SINIX/Windows
User Environment provides an easy-to-use interface that hides the
complexities of SINIX from non-technical users. Siemens Nixdorf is the
largest supplier of products and services to the information technology
market in Europe.
