The following is a recount recieved from Sargeant Zaxlyne after returning
from the wastelands after a failed raid on the Hydrites.

As the last traces of sunlight vanished over the jagged horizon, I struggled
to ignite the pile of rotting debris to defend myself from the frigid darkness.
After the feul was ablaze, I carefully chose a "comfortable" spot to rest the
night among some blackened leaves. The distant howling and screaming wind
reminded me of my inadequate army.
Despair descended upon me as my thoughts were directed toward the
unsuccessful assault upon the 5th Hydrite regiment. The massive raid lead by
myself and Commander Ryzlan was a complete failure as the Hydrites easily broke
through the front lines and scattered my men. I had managed to escape only to
be caught by the whirling winds of a cyclone.
I began to doze off as furtive figures darted about in the darkness.
Suddenly, I was spotted by a Hydrite scout and within seconds the entire patrol
appeared. My only option was surrender.
A scaly, ugly-looking Hydrite jabbed me in the back. "Keep moving if you
want to stay alive," he said in broken English. Then, as if these words
released some magnificant force, a flash of blinding light exploded into a puff
of smoke. A luminescent, blue-shimmering figure appeared wielding two Natases.
The Hydrites visciously attacked but were no match for the ghost-like
stranger's nimble movements; each attack parried and countered with a death-
dealing blow. The man spoke! "I am The Renegade, King of Zaverus, Lord of
Overkill." This seemed to really cause confusion for every Hydrite who heard
the booming voice panicked and began to flee in terror. After the last screams
of the Hydrites had faded, The Renegade bowed low and tossed me a telegrasp. I
thanked The Renegade, Lord of Overkill, many times as I reached down to pick up
my ticket home, but when I stood up I realized The Renegade had vanished. Or
was he ever there?

When Sargeant Zaxlyne appeared in front of the Complex gate, the gate guard
gladly brought him in for warmth and rest. The next day, the good sargeant told
his tale. Many believed Zaxlyne was simply suffering from delyria, but then how
did he get the telegrasp?
