Part of FWKCS(TM) Contents_Signature System, Version 1.22. 1993 Aug 10.
(C)Copyright Frederick W. Kantor 1989-1993. All rights reserved.

For use with DOS 3.30 or later, or in a suitable DOS session under a
multitasking system (including IBM OS/2 2.0 or later); preferably at
least 256 KB free memory (1 KB = 1024 bytes).

This zipfile, FWKLU122.ZIP, is a kit for users who wish to use only the
remote Lookup and remote cross_reference features of the FWKCS Contents_
Signature System. This package is smaller, for your convenience, but it
runs the same kernel and, for this reason, has the same (low) price as for
private personal use of the main FWKCS(TM) Contents_Signature System.

To run an unregistered copy, keep a copy of REGISTER.FRM in the same
directory with FWKCS.EXE. The suggested test time is two weeks.

Provided that no fee is charged for the use, copying, or distribution; and
provided that they are not modified in any way; then you may freely
distribute this package, solely in its original Authenticity Verification
Zipfile named FWKLU122.ZIP with AV code =
    "# OFT466 Frederick W. Kantor (founder/information mechanics)" .
You may test this material at no fee before registering it; if for use in a
public, commercial, school, institutional, or governmental environment,
then this no_fee test period shall not be more than 30 days.

FILE_ID.DIZ to describe this zipfile when it is uploaded to a BBS.
     README.TXT <--<< you are here...
REGISTER.TXT how to register just the remote lookup functions.
FWKLU122.BLT short explanation SYSOPs can post for users.
GETLOOK.BAT to access the remote lookup functions.
     FWKLU.122 used by GETLOOK.
     FWKLU_TM.122 used by GETLOOK.

     FWKCS.EXE main program, in assembly_language.

LOOKUP.BAT for preparing a small inquiry_file to send to BBS.

keep a copy of REGISTER.FRM in the same directory with
                  FWKCS.EXE.

You can use the remote Lookup to help find the missing files that go with a
single file you have, by doing a remote Lookup and calling one of the giant
BBS's that run FWKCS(TM). For example, if you want to find the .DOCs that go
with a game, there's a good chance that Lookup and a call to one of those
giant BBS's can find for you the name of the zipfile which contains that
whole set of files. Even if the name of the file you have was changed,
Lookup can still be used. Then, just download that whole zipfile...

If you are a BBS operator, Lookup helps you use tens of Gigabytes of
collected files to support your users's special requests. Your BBS's users
can call you locally at low speed -- you use your high_speed modem to get
what they needed -- letting you devote more of your resources to the kinds
of files you especially want to work with. Then, if you run FWKCS(TM), you
could become a preferred resource for that special area of work that you
like.

-------------------------

As a BBS user, would you like to get the remote Lookup capability to help
you find files and avoid duplicate uploads?

Here's how: first do PKUNZIP FWKLU122.ZIP <enter>
             then do GETLOOK <enter>

After that, for direct on_line help,

  type LOOKUP /* <enter>

         RCROSREF /* <enter>

More detailed information is given in LOOKUP.DOC. See REGISTER.DOC for
information about registering FWKLU(TM) and FWKCS(TM), and about how to
get new versions of FWKCS.

This remote Lookup capability provides a pair_wise statistical error rate
typically less than one part per trillion.

If you wish later to do a full FWKCS system installation, REGISTER.DOC
contains information about how to get the current release.
