SPRATLY. K5OVC reports that Robin, DU9RG, is planning to operate as
DU0K sometime in April. According to the DXCC Desk, the Philippines
are one of several countries with territorial claims in the Spratly
group. Any operation from the Spratlys should use the call sign of
the occupying authority.

NEPAL and BANGLADESH. Members of the Japan UNICEF Ham Club plan to
be on the air through year end starting December 24. From January 1
to 7 they will move to Bangladesh and operate from there. CW, SSB
and RTTY will be their modes.

QATAR. Tom, DL9FCQ, hopes to be active January 14 to 27. He favors
CW during his evening hours on 40 through 10 meters. QSL via CBA.

PHILIPPINES. Tom, SM0CNS, is signing SM0CNS/DU7 on 80 through 10
meter CW from Cebu Island. He will operate SSB or RTTY on request.

direct to Thomas Bevenheim, Ronda, CEBU 6034, Philippines.

ANTARCTICA. Eddie, VI0ANT, works his radio around his work
schedule, but is usually QRV from 0030 to 0300z and again from 1230
to 1700z. Though RTTY equipped, Eddie prefers CW on the low end of
20 meters. He hears NA stations on 40 meters around 1400z but
reports getting few answers to his calls. Try the long path heading
between 0030 and 0300z. QSL via VK4BMD.

KERGUELEN ISLAND. Pierre, FT5XJ, aka F5NLL, was heard on a DX net
December 18. Check 14226 kHz at 1415z.

SOLOMON ISLANDS. Norbert, DJ9RB, and Bernhard, DL2GAC, will be on
the air during the second half of January. Action will be on CW,
SSB and PacTOR, with special emphasis on the low bands. QSL via
their home calls.

TURKS AND CAICOS ISLANDS. Joe, WB8GEX, will sign his call /VP5 from
December 26 through year end. He will operate SSB on 160 through 10
meters. QSL via WB8GEX with SASE. Remember that new postage rates
go into effect January 1.

EASTERN KIRIBATI. Only three of the original five operators will be
active from Christmas Island for the DXpedition slated for December
27 to January 2. Listen for T32J by JR5JAQ, T32A by JA5EXW, and
