
   IRTS News for Sunday, 11th December 1994, compiled and edited

DONEGAL (TIR CONAILL) ARS
-------------------------
   The November meeting of the society took place in Jacksons
Hotel, Ballybofey, on November 30th. At the meeting it was
decided to divide four hundred pounds from society funds between
two local repeaters, EI7CS (Sligo) and GB7WT (Tyrone).

   There will be no meeting in December due to the Christmas
season, and the next meeting of the society will be held in
Jacksons on 25th January. It will be a business meeting, and all
will be welcome to attend.

   Permission has been sought to transmit the IRTS news in
Irish on 80 metres every Sunday at 2.00pm from 1st January 1995.
If permission is given the news will be read by Danny EI6GS
with back-up from Mickey EI6HY.

   Donegal (Tir Conaill) Amateur Radio Society wishes all
members, their spouses and families a very merry Christmas and
prosperous 1995. It takes the opportunity to send seasons
greetings to all IRTS and RSGB members and their friends and to
all radio experimenters and SWLs. A special word to the news
team for the great work throughout the year. Happy Christmas to
all from EI5TCR.

LIMERICK RADIO CLUB

   At the meeting of LRC, held on 3rd November, a demonstration
of SSTV was given by Tom EI5DH and Dermot EI2GT to an attendance
of 30 members. At present there are 4 members active on SSTV
in the Limerick area, Tom EI5HH, Dermot EI2GT, Robbie EI8ESB and
Les EI9EJB.

   The January meeting will be held on the 12th January when a
film on FSTV, compiled and loaned by Charlie EI2EM, will be
shown.

   The AGM of the Limerick Radio Club will be held in the
Limerick Inn, Ennis road, at 2.00pm. The Region 4 AGM will be in
the same venue at 4.00pm on the same day. (No date for the AGM
given in the script).

SOUTH DUBLIN ARC
----------------
   SDR will hold their Christmas party on Tuesday 20th December
in the Yellow House, Rathfarnham. Highlights of the night will
be the presentation of the prizes to the winners of the SDR club
Autumn Challenge.

   South Dublin Radio CLub will resume for the new year on 3rd
January. it meets every Tuesday at 8.00pm in the Ballyroan
Community Centre, Rathfarnham.
