Thanks to the Northern Ohio Amateur Radio Society, Northern Ohio DX
Association, Ohio/Penn PacketCluster Network, AD1C, K4CEF & Southeastern
Cluster Group, WA8JOC, NW8F, WB9YXY, KP4BJD, KP4ECL, NCDXF, 3A2LZ, DF4RD,
G3NUG, G4DYO, Japan DX News and JE1DXC for the following DX information.

1P0, SEBORGA. In a fax received by Daniel, 3A2LZ, he states he has
received operating permission for 1995. So look for him as IK/3A2LZ/1P0D
usually on weekends operating CW, RTTY (until the laptop's battery runs
out) and for some activity on the WARC bands. Daniel also mentioned if
there are any RS-12 passes while he is in Seborga he will work them too.

1S, SPRATLY ISLANDS. Robin, DU9RG, has announced that plans are being
made for an operation around April 10-16th. The callsign that will be
used is DU0K. No other information was made available (such as bands,
number of operators, QSL route, etc.). Just a reminder that Spratly is
claimed by several countries.

8Q, MALDIVE ISLANDS. Carlo, I4ALU, is supposed to be active from here
until January 6th, but there have been no QSNs reported as of yet on the
Ohio/Penn Network. His activity is to be on all bands CW only, check
10 kHz up from band edge. QSL via I4ALU.

A22, BOTSWANA. Dave, A22MN, will be leaving A2-land in February. He will
move on to Finland where he will be there for the next 3-4 years.
Meanwhile, Dave has been trying to work stations on 80/160 meters. He
is reportedly upset because the same individuals keep calling him on
these bands and they are not giving other stations who would like to have
a chance to work him as an new one. Also, PLEASE send QSL cards only to
his QSL Manager WA8JOC (and not direct to Dave). Dave's future plans
while in Finland are to operate from OH0, OJ0 and M-V Island.

IOTA NEWS (H44 and P29). In the second part of January, Norbert/DJ9RB
and Bernhard/DL2GAC (H44MS) will be active on CW, SSB and PACTOR with
an emphasis on the low bands from Shortland Island (IOTA OC-162)
located in the Western Solomons. After this operation, Bernhard says
he will try and activate on his own at Sikaiana Island (the only
remaining unnumbered group in the Solomons). Another possibility for
March is an island in the Woodlark Group in P29. This is another
unnumbered group from Papua New Guinea.

OD, LEBANON. Timo, OH1NOA, will be active as OH1NOA/OD5 until August of
1995. Activity will be on 80-10 meters including the WARC bands (he
prefers CW). QSL via OH1MRR.

PACIFIC DXPEDITIONS.
Masa, JE1DXC, who has finally worked out his flight reservation
problems, will be active from three different IOTA locations in the
Pacific. All activities will be on 80-10 meters with CW, RTTY and
SSB while operating barefoot in small antennas. Look for him January
 19-20 as 3D2XC (IOTA OC-016), January 21-26 as T30XC (IOTA OC-017),
 January 27 through February 2 as T20XC (IOTA 0C-015) and February 3-5
he will be active again as 3D2XC. QSL via JE1DXC.

Yoshihiro, JF6BCC, will be active from Saipan (KH0), Belau (KC6) and
possibly Guam (KH2) begining in late January. Look for KH0/KH2GR on
 January 27-29th, KC6IY on January 29-February 1st and possibly KH2GR
on February 2nd. QSL via JF6BCC.

QSL INFO (from KF7E). Jim, KF7E, QSL Manager for 5X1HR (94 CQWW SSB),
indicated the QSL cards are back from the printer and the first batch
of cards went into the mail December 15th (All cards were direct, no
bureau cards yet received). He also mentioned that he was one of the
participating stations in the Apollo 11 25th Anniversary Special Event
operation this past summer and has received 800+ SASEs. On December 20th,
he received from NASA the master certificate (some 5 months after the
event). He regrets this delay; it was beyond his control. Jim reports
the certificate is beautiful, but it will cost about a buck to print
and he will be stuck with the additional postage after January 1st.
Though the delay and costs are beyond his wildest expectations, he will
see to it that all SASEs on hand will be answered. Your PATIENCE is
appreciated.

VP8, SOUTH SHETLAND ISLANDS. Andy, SP2GOW, is one of the operators now
active from Smith Island in the South Shetland group as VP8CQS. Activity
has been mainly on 40 and 80 meter CW, between 2330 and 0300z. QSL via
DL1EHH.

XX9, MACAO. Noda-san, JE7RJZ, will active as XX9TJZ, January 9-13th.
Reports indicate he will be active on AO-10 and AO-13. QSL via JA7FWR.

ZC6, PALESTINE (?). The station signing ZC6B (operator Sami) continues
to be active most days on 14243 kHz at 1400z (with OE6EEG). Sami, who
claims to be operating from Gaza, stated that he will be installing a
3 element beam soon. He has also stated that he has not received any
mail yet from either the USA or EU, because it takes 1 month or more
to receive them. Sami has mailed some QSL cards direct by using the
callbook. According to Sami, USA cards can now be sent to: Dr. Sami
Tarazi, c/o 7162 E. Kendall Drive, E. Syracuse, NY 13057. The original
QSL route was: Dr. Sami Tarazi, Box 1008, Gaza, Palestine via Israel.
There are other rumors floating around stating a couple of DXpeditions
will take place in February and March by some JA, European and statside
operators. Also, ZC6A is reported to be active soon.
Just a reminder! ZC6 was deleted from the DXCC Countries List as
of July 1, 1968. Also, the allocation list of international call signs
shows that the prefix for ZC6 is allocated to the United Kingdom of
Great Britain and Northern Ireland. (From the ARRL DXCC Countries List,
July 1994)

ZL8, KERMADEC ISLANDS. Bren, G4DYO, reports that Barry's, G4MFW/ZS1FJ,
proposed DXpedition to Kermadec has been cancelled. Details were not
given.
