Title: Crafts for Kids with Food
HOMEMADE PLAY DOUGH
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tbsp cooking oil
2 tbsp cream of tartar
1 cup water with desired color of food coloring

Cook the above mixture over medium heat stirring until stiff.
Cool and knead out lumps. Store in airtight container.


ARGO DO-IT YOURSELF CLAY THAT'S SAFE FOR KIDS

2 cups baking soda
1 cup Argo Corn Starch
1 1/4 cups water

Mix cornstarch and baking soda, add water, mix. Bring to a boil,
stirring constantly. Thicken to consistency of mashed potatoes.
Form clay into desired shapes, let dry for 36 hours, color with
paint or felt-tip marker, and coat with shellac or clear nail polish.


Title: Play Dough for Kids
  1 Cup flour
  1/3 cup salt
  1/3 to 1/2 cup water
a few drops of liquid detergent or vegetable oil
food coloring (optional)

1. Mix the flour and salt together in a bowl using a spoon or your hands.
2. Slowly add the water, mixed with food coloring and oil (or detergent)
3. Knead the dough well and shape it into a ball.  For different
  colors make several balls of plain dough and knead in the coloring.


Title:  Rubbery Playdough
  2 cups baking soda
  1 1/2 cups water
  1 cup corn starch

1. Mix with a fork until smooth.
2. Boil over moderater heat until thick (about a minute or so)
3. Spoon onto a plate or waxed paper.

2 cups baking soda
1 cup cornstarch

Title: Play Dough and Fingerpaint
PLAY DOUGH (Edible)
1 cup flour
1 cup salt
1 cup water

Blend together, cook, stirring, over low heat until thick.  At
this point you could make seperate small batches and work in
different food colorings and flavoring if you really want to.
Keep wrapped in refrig.

Title:  Wintergreen Play Dough for Kids
2 C Flour
1/2 C Salt
2 TBSP Cream of Tartar
2 C Water
2 TBSP Cooking Oil
Food coloring as desired
Oil of cloves, wintergreen

In a large saucepan, add flour, salt, cream of tartar, water and
oil. Cook over a low heat until of dough consistency.  Let cool,
then add food coloring and flavorings.  Makes 4 cups.
