      Title: Cherokee Casserole
 Categories: Meats
   Servings:  4

      1 lb Ground beef                       1/8 ts Oregano
      1 tb Olive oil                          16 oz Can tomatoes
    3/4 c  Bermuda onion, chopped              1 cn Cream of mushroom soup
      1 ts Salt                                1 c  Minute Rice
      1 ea Dash pepper                         6 ea Stuffed olives, sliced
    1/8 ts Garlic powder                       3 ea Slices American Cheese, cut
    1/8 ts Ground thyme                             In strips
    1/2 ea Small bay leaf

  Brown meat in olive oil.  Add onion and cook over medium heat until the
  onion is tender.  stir in seasonings, tomatoes, soup and rice.  Add half
  of the olive slices.  Simmer 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.  Spoon into
  a baking dish and top with the cheese strips.  Heat at 350 degrees until
  the cheese is melted.  Decorate with remaining olive slices.
