          Chicken Amasu

          3 lb. chicken wings
          1 t. MSG
          2 eggs
          garlic salt
          1 c. flour
          oil for deep frying
          Sauce:
          1/2 c. Japanese vinegar
          3/4 c. sugar
          1/4 c. canned crushed pineapple
          1/4 c. pineapple juice
          1/4 c. ketchup
          1 t. soy sauce
          1 t. salt

          Prepare wings by discarding tip and cutting wings at
          joint.  Sprinkle with garlic salt to taste and MSG, if
          desired.  Let stand for 1 hour.  Shake wings in flour in a
          plastic bag to coat completely.  Dip in lightly beaten
          eggs.  Heat oil in a deep fryer and fry wings until
          golden.  Turn into baking dish and pour sauce over.  Bake
          at 350 degrees for 1 hour.  Makes about 6 servings.  To
          make the sauce:  Combine all sauce ingredients and heat
          until the sugar is melted.
