2 C semolina
1 C sugar
1 C plain yoghurt
1/2 C corn oil
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 C of rose water  (if available)
1/4 C blanched, chopped almonds

For the syrup:
1 C sugar
1 C water
1 tsp. lemon juice

Put the semolina in a bowl and mix with oil.  Add all the ingredients except
almonds and mix well.  (Note:  if rose water unavailable, add 1/2 C water
instead.)
Pour the mixture into a greased 9" x 13" baking pan, sprinkle with almonds
and place the pan in the oven and bake at 350 degrees for about an hour, or
until golden brown.  Remove tray from the oven to cool.  In the meantime boil
on low heat, the water, sugar and lemon juice for about 10 minutes.  While
the cake is still warm cut into small triangular or rectangular pieces and
cover with syrup.
