Dear Carolyn,

First on the dialing modem you put the phone number to call

in Z0 with ATZ0=phone-number. Then that (originating) modem gets

AT&F&C1&D2&Q2&S1. The answering modem AT&F&Q3&S1S0=1. If the

originating modem is a terminal rather than a PC, AT&F&Q2&S1 is

used. On a PC &S1 'may' need to be &S0 instead. When you are

satified with the string, AT&W will save it to NV RAM, so it will

boot in your default setup.

Once this is done, the opriginating modem will DIAL, when

DTR is raised by software (just loading Procomm or another

terminal package).
