SYDNEY and NEWCASTLE TERMINAL AREAS (SNTA) (Australia)
Flight Simulator (tm) version 4 type scenery
for use in both versions 4 and 5.

================================================================================

MUST READ NOTES:

(1) Some of the files extracted from the ZIP file which you downloaded
are used in FS4, some are used in FS5, and some are used in both.
PLEASE TAKE CARE THAT YOU PLACE COPIES OF THE NOMINATED FILES IN THE
CORRECT DIRECTORIES *BEFORE* EXTRACTION OF THE EXE FILES (see note 3).

(2) "(fs4)" means the name of the directory in which your FS4 files are
located. "(fs5)" means the name of the *parent* directory of your
    FS5 installation.

(3) All EXE files included within the distribution ZIP file are
"self-extracting". After placing copies of the EXE files into the
appropriate directories as per the disposition below, typing the dos
name of the EXE files will "self extract" them into their component
individual files. To conserve hard disk space you can delete the EXE
files *after* they have been "self extracted". But hold onto the
original ZIP download, on a floppy disk, for later re-extraction if
    desired.

(4) The file disposition below assumes you have made a sub-directory
named SNTANOTE under the (fs4) and/or the (fs5) directory. When
installed as directed, the SNTANOTE directory contains complete
documentation for SNTA scenery. A portion of the documentation is
different between FS4 and FS5. So if you wish to run the scenery
with both FS4 and FS5 you should install both sets of documentation.
It is possible to combine all documentation files for both FS4 and
FS5 in one directory, if desired. This will save disk space.

(5) Before 1st running the scenery, type SNTA4 when running FS4, or SNTA5
when running FS5, at the dos prompt of the FS4 or FS5 SNTANOTE
directory, as applicable. This brings up a text to screen which shows
you the documentation which is available and how to easily access it.
You should then most definitely (emphasis supplied) read the file
SNTAGO4 before running in FS4, or SNTAGO5 before running in FS5.

(6) If you currently use another Australian scenery version of the
Sydney/Newcastle area, there may be conflicts with MOD (FS4) or
STN (FS5) names in the simulator mode/situation libraries.
I suggest you either delete them or move them to a holding
directory. SNTA scenery is not compatible with other Australian
scenery. Thus you cannot directly fly from SNTA airspace to, say
other authors' scenery of Canberra or Melbourne or Adelaide.

CREDITS

John Blackie of Melbourne, Australia, constructed the scenery underlay
files ACP-AE4.SCN and ACP-AE5.SCN using data supplied by the author.
Without these files the SNTA scenery, in its present form, would not
function correctly.

BETA TESTERS included:

* Frank Paterson, Bankstown Airport Tower, and
* Gerard O'Dea, Camden Airport Tower,

both of whom assisted greatly with general advice and most
particularly with ensuring accuracy of the tower COMs within the
   limitations of the simulator.

* Greg Stone who flew military aircraft extensively during WWII in
the area covered by the scenery and who is now a dedicated FS
   pilot.

* Ron Henderson, retired businessman and private pilot, who assisted
greatly by reviewing the scenery in the greater Newcastle area.

To each named person above, the author extends a very big thank you!!
