10-31-94 MSD Portutil ZPORTS

If you have Windows installed on your computer, you can run MSD (a Dos

program in the Windows directory) to see what COMports & IRQs are in use.

If you have MTEZ, run PORTUTIL. On other software, try ZPORTS (which may

have been put on the diskette). One caveat... MSD is NOT reliable if you

skip a port (say have 1,2,4 it will say modem on 3), and sometimes else

will give wrong results. Also, MSD reports ports at 2400 no matter what

you have the software set to,so don't pay any attention.

You can get COMTEST.COM and ZPORTS to check ports on the ZOOM BBS (see

cover).
