AB To elucidate the pathogenesis of sarcoidosis, we mainly investigated the
surface molecules including adhesion molecules on BAL T cells and the
functions of BAL T cells such cytokine production, [Ca2+] mobilization,
PKC expression. Results are following. Adhesion molecules were
up-regulated on BAL T cells compared with peripheral T cells, but
cytokine production was decreased via TcR stimulation through [Ca2+]
mobilization was occurred. PKC isozyme alpha expression was decreased
compared with peripheral blood T cells.
