AB Disseminated aspergillosis is very infrequent in patients infected by
the human immunodeficiency virus and diagnosis is made usually upon
necropsy. The case of a 28 year old male who presented multiple
abscesses by Aspergillus sp. in the lung, thyroid glands, spleen,
myocardium, pancreas, kidney and in both cerebral hemispheres is
presented. The patient also concommitantly showed M. avium in the
spleen, liver and central nervous system. The literature was reviewed to
evaluate the clinical characteristics and predisposing factors which may
       contribute to diagnosis and treatment.
