 AB    PROBLEMS: Argentina is lak of national programms for the formation of
       the human resourses, prevention and guidance of AIDS. Prevention is made
       for individual initiatives, institutions or sets with low capacitation,
       but with a great potenciality of action. OBJETIVE: To form Communitary
       Agents of Prevention (CAP) among the natural members of each population
       area (villages, neigbourhoods, sets and institutions). To build
       strategies of prevention according to the the own pecularities of each
       set or community. METOD: E1 method AIDS Urgence consist in the setting
       of participating workshops for the formation of CAP. These take place in
       the most importants institutions and sets of each community: schools,
       health unities, etc. The CPA promotes local networks. The R.E.D.
       foundation operates as support trough actions of supervition and helps
       straight or trough its telephone lines of assistance. RESULTS: Starting
       from 5 trainers, was qualified 1,800 CPAs in the most important built-
       up areas and with most incidence of the disease. The activities embrace
       an objetive population of 3 million people and integrated agreements
       with governmental and private institutions. CONCLUSIONS: The communitary
       step, makes possible the quick and economical creation of prevention
       resources and optimizes the social demand of answers of the official
       sistem.
