 AB    For the first time, field workers from 8 countries (Botswana, Kenya,
       Malawi, South Africa, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Zimbabwe), working in 27
       NGOs involved in activities on support to families and children affected
       by HIV/AIDS, have met in Lusaka and shared their experiences. This
       Workshop was organized by the International Children's Centre with the
       support of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. At the end of the
       Workshop they agreed on a Lusaka Declaration recapitulating their
       conclusions for the implementation of sustainable and adapted programmes
       concerning: assessment of the problem living quarters for orphans direct
       material and financial support support and home-based care basic skills
       transfer schooling vocational training income generating activities
       legal support and laws. This Declaration will be presented and
       discussed.
