ABSTRACT VOLUME. DISCUSSION: AIDS epidemic in Mexico has become
relatively more heterosexual, although men with homosexual practices
continue to be main transmission category. Heterosexualization has been
more significant among women as blood associated cases have diminished
as a consequence of preventive measures; ruralization is also important.
Although survival has improved it is still shorter than in developed
       areas.
