 AB    OBJECTIVES: To assail the importance of the opportune diagnostic of the
       secondary infections on the oral cavity, that are present in the HIV
       infection, for the survival of the patients, as much in quality of life,
       as quantity of life. METHOD We was studied 189 patients with HIV in
       differents stage of infections. We was fulfilled continuation in the
       therapeutic of 127 patients. The majority of the lesions that we was
       encounter in the oral cavity that was related with HIV infection, they
       are manifestations incipients of oportunic infections that they can do
       develop greater problems to general level, this demonstrate that the
       early diagnostic is very important for the survival of the patients.
       RESULTS In the majority of the patients we was encounter oportunic
       infections that thank to early diagnostic the patients was can to
       attend, the patients was benefit with the increment of quality and
       quantity of their lifes. The oportunic infections tha we was encounter
       with frequency are candida albicans, citomegalovirus, sarcoma of kaposi,
       leucoplasia, caries etc.
