Overview
Allfax is a support utility for use with BGFAX by B.J. Guillot.
BGFAX is the property of those stated in the BGFAX documents.
BGFAX allows Sysops of bulletin board systems to receive both
data and fax calls. Allfax is intended to be a bridge or
interface with BGFAX which allows the user to view, create, move,
and send faxes from a menu system rather then having to use
command line parameters.

INSTALLATION
Allfax has been created and tested on systems using Remote Access
and Front Door. Therefor, we will assume for the purpose of this
proceedure, that you are setting up Allfax on the same type of
system. If you are not, you may have to make some adjustments
depending on your software. We would like to know about any
configuration changes you needed to make under your current set
up. Moreover, we are assuming that you have BGFAX installed and
running, therefore we will not go into the process of setting up
BGFAX. For information on configuring BGFAX consult the file
BGFAX.DOC which came with your BGFAX program.

Place the contents of ALLFAX.ZIP in the directory where your
BGFAX program resides. To set up the .CFG file you can do either
of the following.

     1. Start Allfax at the command line with the configeration
switch. IE: ALLFAX /C, or start the program by just typing
the command ALLFAX. If you use the latter you will have to
use the pull down menu labeled "setup". This is located at
the top of the main menu.

     2. Fill in the information in each of the configuration
     boxes.

          A. Where BGFAX is located. The full path to your BGFAX
program without a trailing back slash.
               C:\RA\BGFAX

          B. Directory to move Faxes too. The full path to the
directory that you would like your faxes moved to,
          without a trailing back slash.
               C:\RA\BGFAX\BGFAXIN

          C. Extension of Received Faxes. This can either be QFX
or FAX. Do not include the "." in the file extension.

          D. Extension of moved faxes. This should be FXS with
out the "." before the file extension.

          E. Sysop name. This must be exactly the same as you
          put on your registration application.

          F. Registration Number if you have one, otherwise leave
          the default setting.

          G. Video mode. In most cases this would be VGA

USING ALLFAX
There is two ways that the sysop can use allfax.

At the command line just type ALLFAX or ALLFAX /P

The /P switch tells Allfax to look for any un-processed,
incoming faxes moves them to your fax in directory and
     finally processes them for viewing.

If you include the ALLFAX /P command in your batch file that
processes your incoming net/echo mail, all faxes will be
proccessed at that time.

MENU OPTIONS

                            MAIN MENU

You have 5 options on the main menu. VIEW/SEND FAXES, MAKE NEW
FAX, ABOUT, PROCESS NEW FAXES, AND EXIT.

For the most part, all menu options are self explanitory;
therefor, I will only comment on the one option called VIEW/SEND
FAXES. This option is your entry not only to viewing faxes, but
also provides access to the send faxe sub-menu. To return from
any of the sub-menus just choose the CANCEL button

                         VIEW/SEND MENU

The VIEW/SEND menu has 5 menu options and a user selection box.
VIEW CURRENT FAX, SEND FAX, MAKE PCK, DELETE FAX, AND CANCEL

VIEW CURRENT FAX allows you to view any one of the faxes
listed in the user selection box on the left. If you do not
have a fax selected you will receive a "No Fax Selected"
error message. Simply, click on the fax you wish to use
then click on the "view current fax" button to display the
     selected fax.

SEND FAX provides access to the send fax menu.

MAKE PCX makes a .PCX graphic file of your fax. This allows
your fax to be imported into programs like Paint,
Wordperfect, MS-Word etc. as a graphic image. With some
deskjet printers this is the only why that you can print
     your faxes.

DELETE FAX Simple enough. Highlight the fax you wish to
delete then click on the "delete button"

CANCEL Return to the previous menu.

                          SEND FAX MENU

The "send fax" menu contains 3 buttons SEND, CANCEL, and ADD TO
PHONEBOOK. Additionally, 2 selection windows and 2 data entry
windows are offered.

FAX FILES is for selecting the fax you wish to send.

PHONE BOOK is for storage of names and phone numbers that
you fax most often.

NOTE: The current release v1.10 will not allow you to
delete a phone number. This will be an option in
          future releases.

NAME Enter the name of the person or company you wish to
send a fax to.

ENTER PHONE NUMBER Enter the phone number of the person or
company you wish to send a fax to. Press the "Add to
Phonebook" button and this number and name will be stored
     for future use.

                          MAKE FAX MENU

The make fax menu is pretty much self explanatory. Select
the file you wish to convert to a fax and select the MAKE
     FAX button.
