Aptiva - 2156 Bezel power button failure

IBM has found that the wire gauge on the spring for the ON/OFF button on some early production 2156 system bezels was too weak, resulting in the ON/OFF button not responding properly when depressed. If you have a failing ON/OFF button you may contact the IBM HelpCenter for a replacement spring, part number 36L9137, or you may take your system to an IBM Authorized Servicer to request a replacement spring.
