The following four (4) ThinkPad ECAs were released today. They are for the 9546, 9547, 9548, and 9549 systems. They deal with a 32MB SO Dimm failure and should be used if the customer with this condition can not directly order and replace the failing SO Dimm.

Purpose:
Replace failing 32MB SO DIMM memory option P/N 92G7342 or FRU P/N42H2769 following the PHYSICAL CHECK criteria, when it is not possible for the customer to order and install the Memory CRU (Customer Replaceable Unit.)

Customers wanting a direct overnight memory CRU shipment to correct this condition should contact the IBM Help Center.

Customers in Canada should call IBM's HelpPC at 800-565-3344
