TP General - Windows 95 Desktop appears grainy
Applicable to: World-Wide
SYMPTOM:
Desktop background picture which colors are supposed to change gradually (such as CLOUDS) will appear grainy.
CONFIGURATION:
Any ThinkPad, loaded Windows '95, IE 4.0 Active Desktop loaded, and 256 color desktop Color Palette (to check, go to Start/Settings/Control Panel/Display/Settings tab - the Color Palette box will contain the value you are currently set to).
WORKAROUND: (Optional - only required if no solution is available)
Turn off "View my Active Desktop as a web page" through the following steps:
1. Go to Start/Settings/Control Panel/Display/Web tab
2. Un-check the "View my Active Desktop as a web page" box:
Note - you will not be able to display the Internet Explorer Channel Bar when this box is unchecked.
3. Press OK
